Neuropsychological consultation incorporates knowledge and expertise related to brain-behavior relationships in formulating an approach to intervention for each student. Consultation may include review of previous psychological or neuropsychological assessments, standardized test scores and academic records. The neuropsychologist may also consult with a student’s teachers, counselors and therapists in the community. Neuropsychological consultation aids in understanding a student's specific learning and thinking strengths and weaknesses and current emotional functioning.
